Obituary of Gladys Crompton

Crompton, Gladys February 26,1932 to March 29, 2024. We are sad to announce the passing of Gladys. She will always be remembered for her sense of humour, love of friends and family, and her generosity. Predeceased by her loving husband Eric and son David. Gladys leaves behind her daughter Elaine McConachie (Dave), grandchildren Nicole Shelton (Chris), Maddison Verlaan (Chris), Eric McConachie, and Christopher Crompton, and great grandson Chase Verlaan. Gladys was granted a life Legion membership due to her years of volunteer work. She loved her darts, she loved her euchre, and loved being around people. A Legion service will be held at Beckett Glaves Family Funeral Centre in Brantford on Friday, April 26 from 6:30-7:00 pm followed by a visitation from 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 27 starting at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Farringdon Burial Ground. Reception will be held at Ce Soir restaurant, 134 Lakeshore Rd in Oakville from 2:00-4:30pm. A tree will be planted in memory of Gladys in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
