Obituary of Mary Clark

Clark, Mary Alice (nee Place) - Passed away peacefully at Brierwood Gardens in Brantford on April 9, 2024, just three short weeks after her loving husband, David's passing on March 15, 2024. Reuinted again after 65 loving years of marriage. Loving mother of Jayne George and Rod (Sandy). Survived by brothers and sisters Lil (Ron) Moore, Nancy (Bill) Bailey, Karen (David) Hilder, Kathy (Jim) Munday, Kim, Debbie (Wilf) Vansickle, and Mark (Wendy). Cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Bill (Wheels), and daughter Joan Martin (Len). Mary enjoyed many trips to San Carlos, Mexico and Nagagmisis Provincal Park with David and family. Mary enjoyed needlecraft, crochet, and loved to watch the Jays and the Leafs. Mary enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary had a hatred for red squirrels and snakes but loved hummingbirds. Special thanks to the staff at Brierwood Gardens for their care and compassion over the years. At her request, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre. 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford. A celebration of life for both David and Mary will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024 between 1-4 p.m., at Lynden Legion Branch 500, 206 Lynden Road, Lynden Ontario. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Mary in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
