Obituary of Carl Catherwood

Please share a memory of Carl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Catherwood, Carl Maxwell - Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 in his 83rd year. Deeply missed by best friend and partner, Joyce Davis.  Loving father of Sandy Ellis and Reg (Donna) Catherwood.  Cherished grandfather of Carl Ellis and Christine (Klayton) Labate.  Predeceased by his parents, Max and Hilda Catherwood; sister, Joyce (Claude) Lewis; and second wife, Claudette Catherwood. Carl spent his working career raising chickens with Bray Chicks, Cuddy Farms and, finally, Clark Farms. Carl was an avid hunter and spent many hours with his hunting buddies year after year. Retirement brought him freedom to travel, garden and play the stock market with his faithful companion, Joyce, always by his side. His wisdom, happiness, kindness, and humour will be sorely missed. Time to rest now, Dad. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will commence in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Donations to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Carl in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
