SUPPORT STAFF

Typically not seen during the funeral, their presence behind the scenes is nonetheless critical to the day-to-day operation of our facilities.  Our support staff plays an important role in ensuring our high standard of service.  We are proud of their dedication and commitment.

Lois Scott, Family Care Counselor

I am the Family Care Counselor at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre. I have five years experience in the funeral industry as a Funeral Home Attendant and Co-Leader of bereavement support groups. In September of 2002, I graduated with Honors from Mohawk College with a Certificate in the Bereavement Support Program. I am a member of the Brant Bereavement Network which has developed a pamphlet of bereavement support sources and organizes an educational program each year for those who have lost a loved one. I participate in the cancer drive each year, and am a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Paris, and the Catholic Womens' League of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Burford. Brantford is my home that I share with my husband Al, and we are fortunate to have three children and one grandchild.
